Last Friday, legendary rap trio The LOX released their long-awaited third studio album, Filthy America... It's Beautiful. The project, released under D-Block Records and Roc Nation, marked the group's first release in 16 years and the very first under Jay Z's imprint. Announcing the signing of the Yonkers rap group on Dec. 1 via Twitter, Roc Nation gave hip-hop purists hope in 2016 as they also revealed a LOX album would arrive at the end of the year.

Lox members Jadakiss, Styles P and Sheek Louch confirmed the news of the deal in a series of Instagram posts and tweets and kept their word about the long-awaited project by dropping it last Friday (Dec. 16) via iTunes and nationwide music retailers. Featuring 12 tracks and guest appearances from the likes of Gucci Mane, Fetty Wap, Mobb Deep and others, the album thus far has seen plenty of positive reviews from music critics and supporters. Fans are praising the LOX for staying true to their sound and rap style in today's era of rap.

Giving credit to Roc Nation for allowing them to work on the music that LOX fans have become accustomed to, Jadakiss, Styles P and Sheek stopped by the XXL offices last week in New York City to discuss the reason they signed with Roc Nation as well as break down their meeting with Jay Z on the day they decided to sign with the imprint. Check out the Yonkers trio speak on the meeting of great minds above and much more.
