After sitting out a year, Raekwon will return with a new album in 2017.

The Chef made the announcement via Instagram. Posting a selfie of himself getting a fresh lineup, he captioned the pic. "LP IS DONE !!!!! #blades is sharpened. # 2017 release litted !!!!! I will always appreciate real rap.....#factual."

Rae is definitely one of the Wu members who has kept busy over the years. The Clansman's last album Fly International Luxurious Art dropped in 2015. The project featured guest spots from A$AP Rocky, French Montana, Rick Ross, Ghostface Killah, 2 Chainz, Snoop Dogg and more.

“I mean, just getting better, you know? Practicing on my craft and really trying to always step the bar up,” Rae told XXL about his hunger for more, around the time of the release. “You know, when you a legend, it ain’t easy to still be around, so that kind of gives me the ability to still go out there and push it all the way to the limit because of how people look at me. Being in the game for a long time can only make me a more passionate artist and that’s where I’m at. It’s like I’m better than I was 20 years ago in my eyes, so it’s more about celebrating and showing people that I am still here with a more latch on the music I love.”

Other than the Instagram post, Rae didn't give any more info on the forthcoming project, which will be his seventh solo LP. Check back for more details.
