Just a few days after the revelation that he and Erykah Badu are dropping a collaborative EP, D.R.A.M. and the neo-soul legend's 2016 Soul Train Awards performance has been broadcasted. For their performance of "WiFi", the two went to work on a stage set that included a couch as they jumped into the sultry, but slightly comedic ballad. Watch it above.

D.R.A.M. earned big praise from Badu just last week. According to the "Honey" performer, the Virginia crooner is a combination of Ol’ Dirty Bastard, George Clinton and D’Angelo when it comes to sound, and he's got an incredible presence. “I was intimidated. He has something very special,” said Badu, commenting on what it was like to work with the talented artist in the studio. “The way he writes, the way he performs, the way he fills a room with his presence,” she continued. “And he knows who he is, and you get the sense that he knows and appreciates who he is and he doesn’t allow infiltration.”

There's no word on when Badu and D.R.A.M.'s EP is coming out, but we all hope it will be soon. Keep it locked with XXL for more updates on the project, and learn the winners of tonight's Soul Train Awards here.
