Azealia Banks Says She Feels Vindicated by Donald Trump’s Victory
While most in hip-hop are shaking their heads at Donald Trump's presidential victory, Azealia Banks is among those celebrating, writing on Instagram that she feels vindicated following the election results. Banks first endorsed Trump in February, and though she later wrote that she regretted doing so, writing, “i made a major mistake endorsing toupey-toupee. Womens rights are important and we must protect them,” Azealia seems to have rediscovered her Trump enthusiasm.
"First off, I would like to apologize to Donald Trump for all the stupid jokes I made," she wrote. "Secondly, I would like to apologize for all the other times I was dumb enough to let the liberal media sway my opinion of you."
She celebrated that fact that Trump won as a Gemini and as a New Yorker, saying though that defeating the press was his biggest victory. "I am TRULY inspired by this and feel deep amounts of vindication," she wrote. "Thanks for letting me know that I'm not crazy (even though I fronted a few times) liberals run hollywood and it's been a COLD WORLD OUT HERE FOR ME AS A TRUMP SUPPORTER. Best of luck on everything and thanks again."
Banks has been combatting the media herself in a war of he-said she-said following an altercation with actor Russell Crowe in a Beverly Hills hotel last month. She conducted a teary-eyed interview with Access Hollywood late last month, saying of the incident, "every time something like this happens I’m always being blamed for wanting this kind of attention… I’m just like really, really humiliated.”
