After five years of independent distribution, Taylor Gang ENT is going to major. Today (Oct. 7), Wiz Khalifa announces that the record label he co-founded with Will Dzombak has just signed a new label deal with Atlantic Records, which should help them give their artists more of a presence in international markets. The new deal won't affect acts like Wiz, Ty Dolla $ign, and Juicy J, who are already signed to major labels. It will, however, offer a larger platform for Taylor Gang acts who weren't signed to major labels and might not have had one otherwise.

Atlantic Records Chairman/COO Julie Greenwald says she's glad Wiz is bringing Taylor Gang aboard her label, which he's been a part of for over a half decade. “Wiz is an amazingly talented artist, songwriter and entrepreneur. We’ve been so proud to have him as an Atlantic recording artist for the past six years, during which he also built Taylor Gang into a powerhouse hip-hop brand with a phenomenal fan following,” she says. “We are thrilled to be partnering with Wiz and Taylor Gang to take his crew to the next level, and welcome them to the Atlantic family.”

For their part, Wiz and Dzombak say they think Atlantic Records will help them take Taylor Gang to higher heights than ever. "We are very pleased to expand our business with our partners at Atlantic Records/Warner Music. This is a great step forward for Taylor Gang as we get ready to move into the new year and focus on growth. We are all very excited," said Dzombak when he was asked about the new deal with Atlantic Records. Wiz pretty much said the same thing, explaining that he is "very excited about the deal with the gang. These guys are my family and friends first, now we're gonna take this shit to the next level.”

The announcement concludes what's been a really good week for Wiz, who also started a new clothing line based on his son Sebastian just a few days ago. In an interview with People, Wiz explained the design of the new line, which is called BASH By Junk Food. “All the designs are based around Sebastian — all of his hobbies and the things that he’s into. I just really wanted it to feel personal to him, so when he sees it, he gets excited,” Wiz explained. “He’s three years old, so he might not understand the concept of having his own clothing line. But the fact that all of his favorite things are all over his clothes, it makes him feel special; it makes him entertained by what he’s wearing.”

BASH By Junk Food launches on Oct. 15, and will be available for purchase at stores like the Venice, Calif. flagship and online.
