Don't let the dip in temperatures cause you to sleep on some of the fall's hottest releases. As the fourth quarter of the year kicks into high gear, rappers are dropping projects to stake their last claim at success in 2016. Which one of these mixtapes and albums will prove to be worth the wait? Only time will tell.

In one of hip-hop's most bizarre turn of events, the 2016 BET Hip-Hop Awards gave comedian Kevin Hart a platform to bring his rap alter ego, Chocolate Droppa, to life earlier this week. The ridiculous funnyman and remedial rapper went up against Lil Wayne in a BET cypher all to promote his new mixtape, What Now?. Features on Droppa's first tape include T.I., Migos and Trey Songz -- not bad for a rookie. What Now? is slated to drop on Oct. 14 via Motown Records.

Gucci Mane has been on a tear through the music industry since being released from prison in May. XXL's fall 2016 cover star is slated to bring in the freeze early with his second album of the year, Woptober. Always one to go against the grain, Guwop has chosen to disregard the usual industry standard of a Friday release date in favor of dropping Woptober on Oct. 17, otherwise known as 10/17, the same numerical insignia as his crew and record label. The Brick Squad boss talked about his new album, his new outlook on life and the new era of rap in our fall 2016 cover story, which you can read right here. Brrr!

Virginia's fun-loving rapper D.R.A.M. has made his mark with songs like 2015's viral "Cha Cha" (before Drake jacked it) and 2016's chart-topping hit "Broccoli" featuring Lil Yachty. But will the smiley antics and goofy dance moves translate to record sales for the Atlantic Records signee? Brimming with features from Erykah Badu and Young Thug, D.R.A.M's debut album, Big Baby D.R.A.M., drops Oct. 21.

From D.R.A.M. to Gucci Mane and Mozzy to The Game and much more, find out which of your favorite rappers are dropping new projects this October.
