Kid Cudi has checked into rehab. The Cleveland boy announced on Facebook Tuesday night (Oct. 4) that he entered a rehab facility on Monday for treatment of "depression and suicidal urges."

"I am not at peace," said Mescudi in the heart-wrenching open letter. "I haven't been since you've known me. If I didn't come here, I would've done something to myself. I simply am a damaged human swimming in a pool of emotions everyday of my life. Theres a ragin violent storm inside of my heart at all times. Idk what peace feels like. Idk how to relax. My anxiety and depression have ruled my life for as long as I can remember and I never leave the house because of it. I cant make new friends because of it. I don't trust anyone because of it and Im tired of being held back in my life. I deserve to have peace."

While much of the letter was introspective, the 32-year-old rapper also gave an update on his anticipated album, Passion, Pain and Demon Slayin'.

"I won't be around to promote much, but the good folks at Republic and my manager Dennis will inform you about upcoming releases. The music videos, album release date etc. The album is still on the way. Promise. I wanted to square away all the business before I got here so I could focus on my recovery."

Passion, Pain and Demon Slayin' was slated to drop last Friday, Sept. 30, but a day before the drop date, Cudi told fans on Twitter that the LP would be delayed due to sample clearances. Cudi’s new album is set to feature André 3000, Pharrell, Travis Scott and Willow Smith on 18 new tracks.

Mr. Solo Dolo has been publicly battling with depression in the past and exhibited some sporadic behavior a few weeks back when he went on a Twitter rant, taking shots at Drake and one of his mentors, Kanye West.
