Former Death Row singer Michel’le has a new Lifetime movie coming out titled Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le which documents the physical abuse she claims to have endured at the hand of Dre and Suge. Dre has threatened to sue Sony Pictures over the film, though appearing on The Wendy Williams Show, Michel’le seemed unfazed by the potential suit, explaining that testimonials will help the truth come out.

"I didn’t want to do this movie," she tells Williams in the above clip, saying that her film seeks to tell parts of the story that Straight Outta Compton left out. "When I was absent from their movie, the people started talking and then they made the opportunity visible."

Michel’le speaks on the circumstances of the time, saying that her grandmother told her to endure the abuse. "I stayed because it was normal," she says. "After the first hit you don’t think they’re going to do it again. And it does escalate, but I stayed because it became normal. I didn’t call the police because I didn’t want them to go to jail and it just was normal. I took it as a way of him showing me he loved me."

The singer has a son, 25, by Dre and a daughter, 14, by Suge, though she says she has no relationship with the men themselves. Surviving Compton will premiere on Lifetime this Saturday Oct. 15 at 8 p.m. EST. Above, she also speaks on her problems with substance abuse and how D.O.C. tried to help her.
