Aesop Rock Drops Animated “Shrunk” Video, Rolls Out Tour Dates

Aesop Rock visits the arcade for his new "Shrunk" video, released today (Oct. 13) via Rhymesayers Entertainment. Aesop hits up Ground Kontrol Arcade in Portland, Oregon for the nearly four-minute clip. Once inside, he sets his sights on the token master and then starts playing a game of his choice which ends up being a therapy session with a cartoon bear. This cartoon therapist has been a recurring symbol in many of Aesop's releases leading up to his The Impossible Kid album drop, only this time, Aesop is engaging in Street Fighter style combat with the creature psycho analyzing him. The song depicts Aesop's real life grappling with his therapist.

"She said, "When you start getting all expressive and symbolic, it's impossible to actualize an honest diagnostic."/I said, "When you start getting all exact and algebraic, I'm reminded it's a racket, not a rehabilitation", ok," spits Aesop in the third verse.

The last time we heard from the Rhymesayers mainstay, it was on his joint mixtape, Lice 2 with Homeboy Sandman. Aesop is set to hit the road with Sandman, Rob Sonic, and DJ Zone on the "Hey Kirby Tour," taking place November to January.
