Details continue to emerge regarding Shawty Lo's untimely death last week, with local NBC affiliate 11Alive obtaining the 911 call which described the tragic scene. The call can be heard in the broadcast report above, the rapper's cause of death previously reported as blunt force injury to the head after he lost control of his Audi, hit two trees and was ejected from the car as it overturned.

Atlanta police were the first on the scene, with emergency dispatch between officers and dispatchers released this past Monday (Sept. 26). In the recording, an officer calls for an ambulance and firetruck, saying that the car is engulfed in flames. “Is the person still inside?” one dispatcher asks. "No, the person was ejected. We've got two females outside the vehicle with some injuries. We can't advise on what the injuries are; the vehicle is still burning," replied the second dispatcher. "We have APD units on scene trying to see if there's anybody else in it, but they can't hardly get to it."
