Lil Wayne kept things simple for his 34th birthday. The New Orleans rapper had a small gathering with a group of close friends to celebrate the occasion. Mack Maine, Gudda Gudda and Lil Twist were among the notable names on hand yesterday (Sept. 27) for Wayne's birthday festivities.

Weezy also received a lot of love from the top names in hip-hop. Drake and Nicki Minaj, the biggest stars to emerge from Lil Wayne's Young Money imprint, sent along their birthday wishes on Instagram. Drizzy was particularly thankful for all Wayne had done for his career.

"Everything I got is because of god and you," Drake wrote. "Happy birthday to my brother. Thanks for believing in all of us when you didn't have to. YM we still alive Free C5."

While Lil Wayne likely appreciated those messages from his Young Money signees, the "I Miss My Dawgs" MC probably was not thrilled about Birdman sending out birthday well wishes.

Birdman made multiple Instagram posts about Lil Wayne's birthday despite the two's ongoing legal battle. The timing of it was noteworthy since a judge just ordered Birdman to show his financial records to the court.

The judge's order was one of the first significant developments in Lil Wayne's $51 million lawsuit against Cash Money Records. The decision was prompted by Weezy's allegation that Birdman spent $70 million of a $100 million advance, which the two were supposed to share for the Young Money label.
