Kevin Gates Shaves His Head for Make-A-Wish Cancer Patient

In a hair decision that's likely to go over smoother than Yung Joc's, Kevin Gates revealed via Instagram this weekend that he decided to shave his head bald in support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Gates can be seen above, rubbing his newly clean dome, explaining the move.

"This why I did this. You know my hair grow back so fast. My little partner, he in the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He said they be teasing him cause he got a bald head," he says. "Now I got a bald head, too. So when they tease you they tease me. He got cancer though. Ima get Dreka to send this to his family. They’re gonna love it. Shout out to the Make-A-Wish foundation. I love you all. I don’t care what nobody say about me though. I pray for y’all all the time. Sometimes you gotta live for a cause greater than yourself. Make-A-Wish, I love y’all."

Thus far, Gates has had a banner year, his debut album Islah just recently reaching platinum status, becoming the first debut album this year to do so (and he did it with no features). Peep the rapper's comments up top while below, additional IG videos can be seen including one in which Gates says "I just shaved my head - again," showing just how committed he is to the new look. The sleek style provides a nice contrast to the other wild hair-dos currently within hip-hop.
