ASAP Rocky Says Playboi Carti Signed to Interscope

Playboi Carti just leveled up. According to frequent collaborator A$AP Rocky, the Atlanta rapper has inked a deal with Interscope.

Pretty Flacko announced the deal at a recent concert. While on the packed stage with Carti by his side, Rocky addressed the crowd saying, "Y'all mother fuckers is turnt the fuck up. This nigga Playboi Carti, it's a good time for this nigga. Just got signed to Interscope. He bout to fuck shit up. Shout out Playboi Carti in this bitch one time."

Carti has been able to garner a significant buzz despite not dropping a project. He plans to drop his new mixtape soon, recently revealing his plans to fans.

“Man I’m finna drop this tape soon,” he said in a recent Instagram video. “I don’t give a fuck ‘bout none of these labels. New whips, new music, new ice.”

Carti, who has collaborated with A$AP Rocky and Gucci Mane in the past, also said he’s not focused on any stray songs of his that have leaked as of recent. “Old Carti shit, all that shit y’all niggas been hearing, I don’t know nothing bout none of that shit. I ain’t drop none of that shit. Fuck all these niggas man. These niggas lame. I’m bout to drop this tape,” he added.

Now with label backing, the project should be a bit more official whenever it does drop.

Carti recently performed his track "What" at the G.O.O.D. Music Pop Up Shop, sparking rumors that he might sign with 'Ye. It looks like Interscope is the official destination.
