Here Are the Most Anticipated Hip-Hop Projects for the Rest of 2016

As far as hip-hop goes, 2016 has been music to our ears so far. Some of the most anticipated albums in the industry have finally dropped this year.

Kanye West made a production out of the first quarter by dropping his seventh studio album, The Life of Pablo, in conjunction with his Yeezy Season 3 fashion line at Madison Square Garden in February. With gospel-inspired tracks like "Ultralight Beam" and "Waves" paired with bangers like "No More Parties in L.A." and "Famous," Ye's artistic level has reached an all-time high.

Drake staked his claim on summer early when he dropped his fourth studio album, Views, in April. The album houses dancehall-influenced tracks like "Controlla" and "One Dance," the latter of which turned out to be the most streamed song on Spotify this summer, effectively deemed the "Song of the Summer." Drizzy is on track to be the most popular artist on Spotify two years in a row.

Not to be outdone, Travi$ Scott livened up the third quarter with his long delayed and highly-anticipated sophomore LP, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight. Thanks to mature, rawkus production, dope features and La Flame's growing fan base, the Houston rapper earned his first No. 1 album.

But even with all these great releases, fans are hungry for more. And why shouldn't they be? The way music drops these days, you can get a new song from your favorite act just about every week if they feel like dropping something. And plenty of hip-hop's biggest names have announced they've still got projects in store before 2016 is over.
