While this past Friday came and went without Frank Ocean's Boys Don't Cry, it also lacked the release of Travis Scott's new album Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, which the Houston rapper claimed would be dropping Aug. 5.

Now he's announced a .WAV Party for this coming Friday, Aug. 12, and though he hasn't said he'll be dropping the album for real this time, he does hint that we'll learn more about the project's release at the event.

"AUGUST 5TH WE WAS SUPPOSE TO SET THIS OFF. BUT DO TO "TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES" WE HAD TO MOVE IT TO THE 12th," wrote Travis under a flyer for the event on Instagram. "THAT BEING SAID KIDS WE EAT FRIDAY. JOIN ME AND CHASE B FOR A FREE EXPERIENCE SOMWHERE IN LA FOR THE START OF BIRD SZN. TUNE IN ON THE 12th. AND U SHALL BE GUIDED."

The event, which has an Apple Music logo stuck onto the bottom, will feature an installation by James Turrell, the same guy Drake took inspiration from for the "Hotline Bling" video. There's also supposed to be a "premiere" for "Pick Up the Phone," Scott's collab with Thug and Quavo, but since we've already heard the song, that might mean a video is on the way. Travis hasn't dropped a video since "Antidote" last September, so there should be some sort of visual on the way soon.

Either way, Scott fans are hungry for new music, be it Birds or Astroworld. Come this Friday, we'll see what he's got in store.
