In the seven-plus weeks since posting Desiigner's 2016 XXL Freshman freestyle, the song he previewed, "Timmy Turner," has taken on many forms, giving the rapper his clearest sign of post-"Panda" success. There was Desiigner rapping the song as Mike Dean played the keys. Pro Era's Kirk Knight posted a reworked remix to the tune weeks before the official version would drop on July 21. The notion was that metamorphosis of the track, from acapella freestyle to official release, was complete, but at Travis Scott's Los Angeles .WAV party on Friday (Aug. 12) that was proven not to be the case.

Celebrating his new Beats 1 radio show by the same name, Scott cued up an exclusive, premiering a "Timmy Turner" freestyle with Kanye West featured. Reminiscent of Kanye's Madison Square Garden fashion show/album listening event in February, the track was played from a phone, what could have been Kanye's, as he was in attendance and on stage as the remix played. Desiigner however was not present, but he rapped along via FaceTime after Scott called him.

The beat sounds slightly redone and below some of Kanye's bars can be heard, though the audio isn't quite clear enough to make out full lines. Scott's Birds in the Trap Sing Brian McKnight is expected to drop Aug. 26, with a video for his Young Thug and Quavo-assisted single "Pick Up the Phone" premiering over the weekend as well.
