In July, Lil Yachty and Ebro got into it after the Hot 97 personality said Lil Boat has "high school bars." Now, the two are trading insults on social media once again.

The latest war of words began when Yachty dug up a viral tweet from January, which called the Atlanta rapper "the new Nas." The Sailing Team frontman randomly responded to the tweet early Wednesday morning (Aug. 18), typing, "Ion wanna be Nas, I wanna be rich." He then quoted the "new Nas" tweet and wrote, "I love this tweet for the simple fact of how mad it will make old people."

Ebro responded around midday on Thursday, typing, "the #Troll is apart of who these new rappers are... I wish #bars & great music were too." Yachty then quickly shot back, tweeting, "Godddd I was waiting on u Gpa ebro how ya doin take ur meds and drink coffee this morning?"

In a recent interview with Tidal, Lil Boat spoke about his style of music, saying “It’s just fun, it’s not serious. I hate serious rap. It’s boring. Serious rap music puts me to sleep.”

It's an interesting debate: Ebro, a known champion of lyrical rap, is at odds with Lil Yachty, a new star who makes fun music, but who isn't necessarily the most skilled with his bars. The 2016 XXL freshman catapulted to fame after the success of his breakout mixtape, Lil Boat. He followed up his debut project with another 'tape called Summer Songs 2.

On Summer Songs 2, Lil Boat included a track directed at the NYC radio station called "For Hot 97." You can view the tweet that sparked the whole conversation above. Keep scrolling down to view Lil Yachty and Ebro's back-and-forth.
