Cali stalwarts YG, Kyle, J. Boog and Warm Brew set the L.A. River Studios stage ablaze for the third show in Boost Mobile's Where You At? L.A. concert series on Wednesday night (Aug. 17). Hosted by West Coast rap legend Murs and presented by Slacker Radio, the livestream event offered fans a mixture of lively interviews, engaging performances and at least a few Snapchat-worthy moments.

First to bless the stage was Warm Brew. The Venice, Calif. based rap trio, consisting of Ray Wright, Manu Li and Serk Spliff, sat with Murs and lightheartedly discussed the deceptive dangers of their hometown and their recently released EP, Diagnosis. After the interview, the group performed "The Mission," a passionate squad anthem from their latest project.

Next was Compton's own J. Boog, a reggae artist with a laid-back demeanor and smooth R&B vocals. Over the course of about 10 minutes, the "Lonely Days" performer touched on his Compton upbringing and how reggae offered him an escape from the realities of his neighborhood. Following the discussion, Boog and his guitarist performed an acoustic version of his 2010 track "Let's Do It Again." All of his fans stood up to sing along, and it was pretty clear they were feeling the Cali vocalist's silky island stylings.

The next part of the night featured a freestyle from Murs' friend and occasional collaborator Verbs. His rhymes included words fans sent to him through the comment section on Boost Mobile's Facebook page, which offered a livestream of the night's concert. Verbs' freestyle session was quick but packed with rhymes, which was a pretty fun pseudo-intermission before the next part of the show. Bompton's own YG dropped by for a brief interview and performed a few songs from his new album, Still Brazy.

Closing out the third installment of the Where You At? L.A. series was Ventura, Calif.-based artist, Kyle, aka, the rapper formerly known as K.i.D. Before performing his track "Really? Yeah!," the emerging star joked with Murs about who was the better rapper and who had the cuter prom date. Seemingly trying to ensure that his part of the show was as quirky as his song, Kyle brought out a person dressed as Pikachu onstage for his interview and his  performance. Needless to say, it was pretty damn funny.

The next installment of Boost Mobile's Where You At? L.A. concert series will take place on Wed., Sept. 7. Keep it locked to XXL for more details.
