Director/photographer/mystic tale spinner Jason Goldwatch and Jay Electronica have worked closely with each other throughout the years. Today (August 1), Goldwatch shared an Instagram photo of Electronica holding a falcon with the caption, "1.7.17." Could this be the release date for Jay's highly anticipated Act II: Patents of Nobility album?

About a month ago, the New Orleans rapper hopped on Twitter and advised everybody to get TIDAL. "To all those who have been patient with me and supported me over the years, thank you," he wrote before deleting the tweet. "And get #Tidal #AreYouWatchingClosely?" It seemed like a tease of what was to come, but them again, Jay's been teasing us for years now.

Only time will tell what January 7, 2017 holds for Jay Elect fans. Until then, you can go back and re-visit some of Jay's recent snippets. He also recently spit a verse on Chance The Rapper's "How Great" off of Coloring Book, so perhaps Jay is inching closer to releasing some new music of his own.

Also, in case you missed it, check out Goldwatch and Electronica's Into the Light film from back in 2014. The project follows the friends and frequent collaborators as they travel the world seeking rare knowledge in foreign lands.
