Today, Aug. 19, is the birthday of Romeo Miller, also known as Lil Romeo or simply Romeo. He is now 29.

Young Romeo Miller got his start in the music industry pretty much from the moment he was out of pampers. Being born into a musical family, Miller is the son of Master P. After writing raps from 5 years old, the New Orleans born rapper made his musical debut at age 11 with the song "My Baby" in 2001 off his self-titled debut album. The No Limit Records release went on to be certified platinum by RIAA. By 2002, Nickelodeon offered Romeo his own self-titled show, Romeo!, which ran for three seasons.

As No Limit Records declined in the new millennium, Romeo managed to maintain his prominence thanks to his cute kid popularity. To date, Romeo has dropped six solo albums, ventured further into acting and even took a break from Hollywood to play college basketball for USC (in 2017, he balled in the NBA Celebrity All-Star Game). Romeo has even appeared on two reality shows Master P's Family Empire and Growing Up Hip Hop.

In 2016, Romeo took to social media to clear the air about a long rumored feud between him and fellow child rap star Bow Wow.

“Dear young Superstar, as kids we should’ve worked together, we should’ve toured together, we should’ve made movies together. The funny thing is, I never looked at Bow as competition. The world made it that way. When he was 14 I was only 11. From them late nights of us and @chrisbrownofficial hooping at UCLA (Fyi I bust everybody ass ha), to my teen dance parties, he was there," wrote Romeo on Instagram.

Happy Birthday, Romeo!
