ASAP Ferg has earned the first gold record of his career. The Harlem rapper's hit single "New Level" featuring Future has been certified gold by the RIAA. The track sold over 148,000 copies while being streamed nearly 52 million times on Apple Music and Spotify.

The RIAA's newly implemented way of certifying gold and platinum records helped ASAP Ferg achieve this honor. The RIAA's new methodology counts 1,500 on-demand video or audio streams as an equivalent to one physical album sale. 100 to 150 streams of a song are counted as the equivalent to a single track download.

"New Level" appears on ASAP Ferg's latest album Always Strive and Prosper which dropped back in April. The project received many positive reviews including an XL rating from XXL.

ASAP Ferg has more on the docket in 2016 as he recently claimed to be dropping another album called Still Striving. He is also set to embark on a headlining tour in October with Playboi Carti and Rob Stone as supporting acts. Check out the full list of dates for that tour below.
