The pop culture world exploded when photos of Mac Miller kissing Ariana Grande began making their rounds on the Internet. While it was easy to assume that the two were officially an item, neither of them confirmed that they were actually dating. That all changed during the pre-show for the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards.

During an interview with the ever-inquisitive Charlamagne Tha God, Grande pretty much erased all doubts: she and Mac are definitely dating. Charlamagne's convo with Grande began with his lighthearted suggestion that she abstain from licking any pastries, referencing her doughnut-licking controversy from last year.

Eventually, the convo moved to the topic of Mac's absence – with Charlamagne referring to the "Red Dot Music" rapper as her boo. Refusing to go into much detail, the "Dangerous Woman" performer simply explained that Mac didn't always have to be with her in person and that Mac would send Charlamagne his regards. It's not much, but the fact that she didn't challenge Charlamagne's posit that Mac was her boo was all we needed to see.

Grande's brief, but telling comments completely take her new romance out of the realm of gossip. That process began with the photos and gained a good deal more momentum when her brother Frankie confirmed that the "The Way" performers were in a relationship. Grande finished the process today.

In any case, we're glad to see Grande and Mac are officially a pair, and we hope to hear more dope collaborations from them in the Future. Keep it locked with XXL for more updates from the 2016 VMA's.
