Anderson .Paak Performs Four Songs for NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert

Anderson .Paak is the latest artist to perform for NPR's Tiny Desk Concert. The talented singer and his band The Free Nationals made their contribution to the acclaimed concert series with an impressive set. Paak and the band did renditions of three Malibu cuts - "Come Down," "Heart Don't Stand a Chance" and "Put Me Thru" - along with the NxWorries record "Suede."

Speaking of NxWorries, Anderson .Paak and producer Knwxledge's highly anticipated has an official title. Paak's manager Adrian Miller announced the LP would be called Yes Lawd in a July interview. The NxWorries album still does not have a release date, but it is expected to drop later this year on Stones Throw Records.

Anderson .Paak's participation in the Tiny Desk Concert adds to a huge year for the Oxnard native. Earlier this summer, the Aftermath artist was named to the 2016 XXL Freshman class. During one of the roundtable discussions, Paak spoke about the honor.

"A legit stamp, a legitimizer on the hip-hop resume. You got some stripes," Paak said. "The real thing will be the time after this, you know? We goin’ see. The proof will be in the pudding, you know? But it’s crazy to see the pictures out there of the people that really did it and made an impact in the game. That’s what I’m pushing for. But it’s really dope to be at this level now of recognition."

Anderson .Paak continues to strike gold in 2016. His latest guest spot, a collab with Mac Miller called "Dang," seems likely it's ready to blow up too.
