Maybach Music Group has officially added another rapper to its roster. Isa Muhammad, a previously homeless California rapper, has officially signed on the dotted line today (July 28) to rep Rick Ross' MMG label along with the likes of Meek Mill, Stalley and Wale.

If Muhammad's name sounds familiar to rap fans, there's a reason. The young MC recently went viral after he spit an impressive and impromptu freestyle for Rozay on the streets of Venice Beach, Calif. earlier this summer. The original video of Isa's freestyle was uploaded on YouTube back in June and has amassed over a million views and counting. Rumors that Isa was signed to MMG began to swirl prematurely, but now it's been confirmed.

"This was something that I wasn't expecting," said Ross in a press release on Muhammad's signing. "This kid gave me his heart when he was spitting and the internet got a hold of the video I put up on my snapchat. I wanted to give an opportunity for someone else to be put on - I know so many people in his same position. MMG is about giving back and pushing the culture forward by finding new and real talent. Isa Muhammad will reflect quality rap music and MMG is going to make sure of that."

"Ross saw Isa Muhammad and he saw a vision. Isa was raw, authentic and organically talented," added MMG's president Kendall "Young Sav" Freeman.

It's reported that Isa is already hard at work in the studio and plans on dropping a debut project under MMG soon. Will Isa's vocals make an appearance on the next Self Made album? Keep an ear out. This is truly one of hip-hop's best recent rags to riches stories. Congrats to Isa Muhammad!
