A$AP Rocky is fed up with misinformed Twitter users criticizing him about a quote from an interview that was conducted and published in 2015. You would think his appearance in an anti-police brutality video this week would clear up confusion on his stance these days, but alas, people are just as dumb as you think they are.

In the wake of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile getting murdered by police in recent weeks, Twitter users started to circulate a quote from a Time Out interview Rocky did in 2015 as if it was brand new. The quote finds Rocky being realistic about his place in the rap game, as he says he's not here to make political commentary.

"So every time something happens because I'm black I gotta stand up?" he says in the quote. "What the fuck am I, Al Sharpton now? I'm A$AP Rocky. I did not sign up to be no political activist."

Today (July 15) Rocky responded to the mindless people thinking his quote was about the recent shootings.

"IF NIGGAS WANNA GAS INTERVIEWS FROM OVER A YEAR AGO BE MY GUEST," he wrote on Twitter before deleting the message. "ALL THIS SOCIAL INJUSTICE MAKES ME FUKIN SICK, THO IM STILL NO POLITICIAN." You can see the deleted tweets below.

"FIRST YALH SAY IM ILLUMINATI, THEN IM GAY, THEN SAY I DONT LIKE DARKSKINED CHICKS IN RED LIPSTICK, NOW IM DUMB N DONT CARE ABOUT BLACKS," he continued. "FUK ALL THESE COPS KILLIN THE URBAN YOUTH DEM, N FUK ALL YALH NIGGAS FOR DICK RIDIN ON BASH ROCKY DAY, LMAO, UNTIL NEXT TIME TWITTER."

People have been coming for Rocky over this, that and the third for most of his career, so he's rightfully pissed. Glad he got cleared up the confusion, though surely plenty of morons will still run with the quote as if it applies to the here and now.
