In a brief interview with HipHollywood on Sunday (June 26), Young Thug says that Chance The Rapper will be compared to Prince when the Chicago rapper dies.

The interview took place at the 2016 BET Awards in Los Angeles. Young Thug says, "I think they gon' always sleep on [Chance]. He's gonna die like Prince. He's gon' die [as] a slept-on legend."

That's high praise from the Atlanta rapper -- to say the least. Thugga Thugga and Chance recently collaborated on the track "Mixtape" for the latter's wildly popular project, Coloring Book. Chano released the 14-song body of work on May 12 to positive reactions and reviews from fans and critics, respectively.

Hopefully, Thug and Chance have more songs in the vault ready to drop at any moment. In other Chance news, the South Side Chi native is gearing up for performances at several festivals in the coming months. The Chatham rapper will appear at Philadelphia's annual Made in America festival in September as well as New York City's inaugural Meadows festival in October.

Meanwhile, Young Thug has been hard at work in the studio. The Slime Season rapper dropped a "Controlla" Remix a couple weeks back. And two days ago, he released a video for his new single "Turn Up" featuring Jerrika.

You can view the interview above via YouTube, in which Thugga basically compares Chance to the late Prince, who passed away on April 21 at the age of 57. In case you missed it, check out how the hip-hop community reacted to the Purple Rain artist's death.
