Lil Wayne has a new project on the way. Unfortunately for Wayne and his fans, it is not the long awaited release of his album Tha Carter V. Instead, Weezy has announced that he will be releasing a video game titled Sqvad Up.

The New Orleans rapper went on Instagram today (June 6) to share the news. The post featured a voiceover of Lil Wayne with the artwork for the game.

"Welcome to Hollygrove, my town," Wayne says in the audio. "Sqvad Up coming soon!"

Not much else is known about this new venture for Lil Wayne except that it is a mobile game. The video shows that the game will be available on Google Play and the App Store. XXL reached out to Wayne's team for comment but has not heard back at this time.

Lil Wayne's entry into the mobile gaming business comes in the midst of his ongoing turmoil with Birdman and Cash Money Records. The "Fireman" rapper is beefing with Birdman after Wayne broke off settlement talks over his $51 million lawsuit against Cash Money. The two sides continues to disagree about the release of Tha Carter V.

The latest salvo in the feud saw Lil Wayne implore a crowd to yell "fuck the Birdman" and "fuck Cash Money" at a concert in Phoenix. Wayne said they are preventing him from releasing good music.

"I’m going through a lot of bullshit right now these niggas got me in bars right now, they don’t want to see me make good music," Lil Wayne told the crowd. "I don’t know what the fuck’s going on, but fuck them niggas."

Lil Wayne also announced two new albums during the Phoenix performance. Weezy told the audience at the Comerica Theater that he had two LPs on the way, but did not clarify if one of those is the oft-delayed Tha Carter V.
