Chicago rapper Lil Durk has officially given fans the release date for his sophomore LP. After teasing for weeks online that Durk 2X would be a mixtape, the former XXL Freshman switched up his story and announced today (June 3) that Durk 2X is his second album under Def Jam Recordings and is dropping this month on June 24.

The 13-track offering boasts features from all of the usual suspects: Young Thug, Future, Ty Dolla Sign and more. And although Durk's made his name as a strictly street rapper, the puppy love joint "My Beyonce" featuring Durk's rumored girlfriend DeJ Loaf made the tracklist as well.

It was just last year in June 2015 that Durk made his Def Jam debut with his first studio LP Remember My Name . Though Durk's fanbase is steadfast, the hype didn't translate to the charts. The debut peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard 200 which might leave some MCs discouraged, but not Durk. XXL caught up with the tatted father of two to see what he learned from making his first full-length album and what his goals are for the second time around.

"It’s like your second chance. Everybody gets a second chance, I get a second chance and my pops get a second chance. I got two boys that are following my footsteps. So that’s the whole meaning behind '2x.'"

Fans of the Chicago MC who preorder Durk 2X today will receive a special bonus track, "Good Good" featuring Kid Ink and DeJ Loaf. Check out the tracklist for Durk 2X below.
