Drake is no stranger to sketch comedy, as the rapper has hosted Saturday Night Live twice before, or the occasional interview played for a laugh. He's sat across from both Andy Samberg and Vanessa Bayer in the past for what amounted to purposefully awkward exchanges. Furthering both notions, Drake guested on a recent episode of NBC's new variety show comedy Maya & Marty, as Martin Short's obliviously misinformed character Jiminy Glick grills the rap star in the episode's highlight clip.

During their four minute chat, Short, as Glick, questions Drake's fitness and street cred, saying, "So you're a Canadian former child star, so literally we're talking about zero street cred. And you're real name is Aubrey, well that changes it. That certainly ramps it up." As he's been in the past, Drizzy plays the good sport, offering looks of confoundment and surprise as Glick meanders through the interview, offering up donuts and steam baths. For his part, Drake keeps character fairly well, cracking a smile only briefly as Short makes light work of stumbling through shenanigans.

Maya & Marty stars Maya Rudolph and Martin Short, and airs on NBC Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. EST. Last night's episode (June 7) was the series' second, and additionally featured Steve Martin and Tina Fey. Watch the clip staring Short as Glick and Drake up above. There aren't too many rappers who can take a joke, particularly about their own shortcomings, as well as Drake, and the number who can discuss circumcision with comedic effect is likely even smaller.
