FX seems to have identified the NBA Finals as a premium marketing tool, as for the second time in a week, a new promo spot for Donald Glover's upcoming series Atlanta has aired during basketball's championship matchup. The Cleveland Cavaliers took Game 3 from the Golden State Warriors, a much needed win after LeBron's squad returned home, and as the second half carried on, there was Glover in the show teaser.

In the clip, Glover is passing flyers for what is likely a rap show, sticking them under windshield wipers with the same sort of stilted bodily motions that were on display in the previous promo. Tame Impala's “New Person, Same Old Mistakes” is likewise still soundtracking the spot. Different however is the fact that Glover appears on his own, without the two friends that were by his side, at the center of whatever craziness is causing those around them to move, or glide, backwards.

Atlanta is set to premiere this September, and will be Glover's conceptualized first show, the sometimes rapper sometimes actor, telling Deadline why he decided to center his show in the southern city. “I know it’s going to be very easy for people to say ‘It’s a black Mecca,’ and it is, but I just think that it’s the most American place,” he said. “Everybody there is like ‘Yo, I got a verse.’ Everybody is trying to make something from nothing. I believe everybody has a situation, and I wanted to show real people in real situations… I wanted to make it a regional thing.”

The series is set for a 10-episode run this fall. Watch the latest TV spot up top.
