Is Childish Gambino aka Donald Glover about to drop some new music? The rapper went on Twitter this afternoon (June 17) to post a mysterious link to an app called Pharos. Once the user opens the app, all you get is a countdown clock with some music that plays when you click it.

It's hard to know what this all means but a Reddit user found that Donald Glover filed for a trademark on the phrase pharos. The goods and services associated with the trademark were "entertainment services in the nature of presenting live musical performances; Entertainment, namely, live music concerts."

At the moment, there is no concrete information on what Childish Gambino is planning. But the speculation is all pointing to some form of music. Outside of the newly launched Pharos, the biggest news surrounding Gambino has been his much anticipated show Atlanta. The upcoming FX series is a story about two cousins in the Atlanta hip-hop scene.

"I know it’s going to be very easy for people to say ‘It’s a black Mecca,’ and it is, but I just think that it’s the most American place," Gambino recently told Deadline about the show. "Everybody there is like ‘Yo, I got a verse.’ Everybody is trying to make something from nothing. I believe everybody has a situation, and I wanted to show real people in real situations… I wanted to make it a regional thing."

Could this Pharos app be tied into the show somehow? It seems unlikely but nothing is off the table at this point.
