Watch Awful Records’ Documentary ‘Awful Days’

Boiler Room TV went down to Atlanta to film a documentary on Father and his label Awful Records. Awful Days chronicles the rise of Awful Records with an emphasis on the background of each member of the crew. Directed by Joe Alexander and produced by Boiler Room, Awful Days will premiere today (June 17) at 7 P.M. E.S.T. live from Brooklyn and fans can catch the live stream of the documentary and event above. The trailer for Awful Days premiered earlier this week.

“We’re not outsiders, like, we don’t fuck with people. We’re outsiders ‘cuz we’re different,” says one interviewee over shots of an Awful party. Tommy Genesis, Lui Diamonds, RichPoSlim and more make appearances in the film’s preview.

“Watching it now is a little crazy, but at the time it was just regular,” said Father of the new doc. “It was just Awful doing what we do every day.”

What makes Awful Records interesting enough for a documentary? Everything according to the good folks at Boiler Room on Awful Days. "We spent a lot of last December in Atlanta, hanging out with all the guys at Awful," they said. "It was an incredible experience—a bizarre, fascinating culture shock—at times euphoric, at others, hard work. We had to adapt to the crazy, timeless black hole that is Fat's house in East ATL, but in doing so we got to see the true workings of one of the most fucked-up, crazy and ridiculously productive environments we've ever experienced."
