At this point, Mistah F.A.B. has proven himself as an Oakland lyrical legend to those in the know. After four years of only dropping mixtapes, Stanley Cox finally pushes the bottom on his latest LP Son of a Pimp 2, the sequel to his 2005 sophomore album.

The dense 21-song project features a roll call of dope artists including Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz, Lupe Fiasco, Snoop Dogg, Jadakiss, Bun B, Keyshia Cole, Raekwon, G-Eazy, Curren$y, B.o.B, Too $hort, Boosie Badazz, Slim Thug, Paul Wall and more

For production duties, the Golden State MC handpicked Pete Rock, Tha Bizness, Jake One, IAMSU!, P-Lo and others.

XXL recently chopped it up with the Bay Area behemoth who told us what we can expect, calling this project "the second installment is the emancipation of Mistah F.A.B., the artist, the growth of family, the person."

"It implements my thoughts and my ideology of life right now based off everything that I’ve been through in the past 10 years," he said. "You know, they say your first project is always your best project because it’s everything in your life up until that point and you put it all out. So now, after going through label situations, being involved in many different politics of the industry, the ups and downs, now to be refurbishing my identity through music again, through this project, so it’s goin’ be dope."
