Mere weeks after Desiigner topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart with "Panda," he's been overthrown by Drake's "One Dance," which hits No. 1 today (May 9). It's Drake's first No. 1 hit in the United States to date after "Hotline Bling" narrowly missed it.

"Panda" only spent two weeks at the top, despite some industry insiders thinking it would hold on to that spot for much longer. "One Dance," meanwhile, was an inevitable No. 1 record to anyone with ears and a brain. Riding the Caribbean influence of Rihanna's "Work," which almost acted as a proxy single for Views, "One Dance" capitalized on that song's success and extended Drake's reggae sound, along with other tracks like "Controlla" from the album.

Views is also breaking streaming records, as it was played over 250 million times in just a week. It opened with about a million overall units sold first week, a little over 851,000 of those being digital downloads on iTunes.

In addition, Drake's got a video for the song on the way, and though you might have thought he needed a video to push the song past Desiigner's monster hit, apparently that's not the case.

Congrats to the Boy.
