YG and Nipsey Hussle Take a Stand in “FDT” Video

YG and Nipsey Hussle's anthemic "FDT (Fuck Donald Trump)" gets the video treatment. Leading a march through an LA neighborhood, YG and Nipsey bring out people of all races and creeds to take a stand against the 2016 presidential candidate who has openly campaigned against immigrants and threatened to build a wall separating Mexico from the United States. The two West Coast rappers represent different colors but come together with the motivation of keeping Trump out of the White House.

Before the video starts, a message flashes across the screen that calls for young people to register to vote.

"As young people with an interest in the future of America we have to exercise our intelligence and choose who leads us into it wisely. 2016 will be a turning point in this country's history. The question is, in which direction will we go?

"The last eight years represented an upward evolution in western political principles and the collective vibration of America as a whole. We saw more inclusive/diplomatic foreign policy. We saw prison reform actually bring home family members and neighbors of ours. We saw health care become a civil service. And we saw morally unjust conflicts with other country's resolved. Our opinion is that in an age of technologically empowered and nuclear armed planet, separation is the enemy. The next leader of America is the most pivotal president for these reason. Register ASAP and choose wisely. #FDT."

The video shoot was eventually shut down by the LAPD after the police received multiple complaints. A spokesperson for the LAPD told Billboard that “there were no arrests in the incident and that at press time there was no reliable count of how many officers and/or cruisers responded to the corner of Crenshaw Blvd. and 71st Street.” The spokesperson also said that there was no violence among the “hundreds” in attendance.

While there were no arrests made, there were a number of citations given out for infractions ranging from “illegally modified exhaust systems to excessive speed and loitering for the general purpose of street racing.”
