DJ Funky and DJ Buu are set to drop a new album titled For Smokers Only - The Album on May 13. With the release date right around the corner, the DJs offered up the first single off the project: a Waka Flocka and Akon collaboration called "Had It Hard."

The track sees the two artists addressing the respective journeys as they recall some hard living they have done in the past. Akon dominates most of the track, but Waka Flocka stands out with a fiery verse on the hard-knocking production.

"Had it hard since the beginning/Taking chances, tryna dodge prison/Big 40 tucked in my linen/Came up winning not breaking innas/For a team started juuging bows/Pray the po's don't kick my momma's dough/I never fold like an envelope/Out the streets I'm eating like some Pappadeaux's/I was kicking doors, anything to get it/I was serving bows, long nights out on the Grove," Waka Flocka raps.

"Had It Hard" will appear on For Smokers Only - The Album, which features additional guest appearances by Snoop Dogg, K Camp and Daz among others. You can pre-order it on iTunes.

When it comes to Waka Flocka's own work, the Atlanta rapper remains in a tough spot. It looks like his Flockavelli 2 album may never see the light of day. The "Hard in Da Paint" has voiced his frustration with his label, but nothing has changed. In the meantime, he's managed to keep his name in the public conversation with some collaborations and remixes.
