Kobe Bryant's retirement tour will come to an end Wednesday night (April 13) when the Los Angeles Lakers great and all-time leading scorer will play his final game in the purple and gold. While the Lakers have, by all accounts, had a dreadful season, Kobe's final game has quickly become the hottest ticket to own, with TDE CEO Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith posting the above photo to Twitter in a not so subtle stunt.

"Sometimes u have2 pay 2 play.." Tiffith wrote late Monday morning (April 11). "Culdnt miss @kobebryant last game for nothin in the world.. Top 5 in my book." It's hard to quantify what about the photo is more shocking, that courtside tickets are going for $17,500 a pop, or that Top would cop a pair without even batting an eye. While the photo went up on Monday, notice the receipt is dated 4/7. In total, the splurge cost upwards of $40,000, with fees accounting for an added cost of $5,960.50.

Time will tell who gets to sit in the courtside seats and cheer on number 24 as he plays his final minutes, but good money is on Kendrick Lamar occupying one. The Compton rapper stars in a recent ESPN spot titled "Fade to Black" in which he honors Bryant by recapping his on-court heroics and off-court impact on L.A. fans.

The Lakers will play the Utah Jazz in L.A. on Wednesday night, with ESPN's Darren Rovell reporting that the average StubHub price for tickets is $997, a regular season record for any sport. Those in attendance will receive a Kobe lanyard, a Nike shirt and a commemorative book.
