The first weekend of Coachella 2016 is over and hip-hop certainly made its mark. Lots of rappers performed over the past weekend with many of them pulling out some big surprises for the audience. And with a live stream of the festival made available on YouTube, fans around the world got to enjoy the performances.

The first day of the festival got off to an exciting start with ASAP Rocky delivering a show stealing performance. The Harlem rapper tore down the Outdoor Theatre before bringing out none other than Kanye West. Yeezy hit the stage to perform his The Life of Pablo track "Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1" before the set got cut short for running over the time limit.

Another special moment took place when Ice Cube performed at the festival. The O.G. brought out fellow N.W.A. members MC Ren and DJ Yella for a mini-reunion of the legendary group. Unfortunately, Dr. Dre could not make it. It was still a nice moment to see most of the living N.W.A members entertaining fans once again.

That wasn't all that night as Ice Cube also brought out Snoop Dogg and Common for special cameos during his set. And the West Coast reunion vibes were in the air as DJ Mustard and YG teamed up to squash any beef and perform their hit singles.

XXL has compiled some shots of the rappers who wowed the crowd during the first weekend of Coachella 2016. Check out the likes of Killer Mike, Vince Staples, Joey Bada$$, Rae Sremmurd, Ja Rule, T.I. and many more doing their thing for thousands of rabid fans.
