Kevin Gates dropped his debut album Islah back in late January, but based on posts to both Twitter and Instagram, it appears the Louisiana rapper is looking to feed the streets once more. Posted on Wednesday (April 13), Gates shares with his followers that as much as he'd like to drop another album in the near future, his label, Atlantic, is keeping him from doing so.

"They're not allowing me to release another album until Feb - fuck it murder for hire 2," he wrote on Twitter, captioning an Instagram photo of the tweet with "Fuck it I'm leaking." The first Murder for Hire mixtape dropped back in May 2015 and was the rapper's last release before Islah.

Perhaps in conjunction with his frustrations and impulse to leak new music, the below track titled "Off Da Meter (Panoramic Coupe)" has surfaced online, a song that had snippets floating around and at one point was believed to be for the album. On the track's hook, Gates raps, "Getting 50 g’s a feature, my show price is going up / Hard to deal with this depression lately, I’ve been growing up / The hos that used to hate me, love me now, my phone been off the meter."

Listen to the track below and keep on the lookout for Murder for Hire 2 which could drop at any point in the coming weeks. Additionally, Gates sat down for XXL's The Break podcast recently to discuss avoiding drama on the way to rap stardom.
