Uh oh. Views From the 6 drops next week, and Drake is starting to get everyone all riled up for his fifth studio album with pop-up shops around the U.S. But last night (April 19) he took a different approach to promoting the LP - by posting a picture of what look like vinyl copies of his early mixtapes Room for Improvement and Comeback Season.

It might mean that Drizzy is planning to re-release these tapes from '06 and '07, and it'd be a pretty genius way to reach back to his original fanbase while promoting his new shit.

Just this week, Drake hit New York City and Miami for Views pop-up shops top give away free tees. XXL was in the building at the Soho pop-up shop, and needless to say the scene was on tilt.

Room for Improvement and Comeback Season helped set the table for Drake's breakout So Far Gone mixtape, which was released in Feb. 2009. The project, which featured hits like "Best I Ever Had" and "Successful" feat. Trey Songz and Lil Wayne, launched Drizzy into superstardom and is widely lauded as one of the best mixtapes of the '00's.

Since the release, Drake has kept the momentum rolling and Views From the 6 is easily once the most buzzed about releases of the year. The Toronto rapper dropped two singles, "Pop Style" and "One Dance," to give listeners an idea of what's in store.

XXL has reached out to Drake's camp for comment and will update this article when we hear back.
