DeJ Loaf celebrated her 25th birthday yesterday (April 8) with a private soiree in Atlanta. But this was no regular party. The Detroit rapper pulled out all the stops, coming correct with a Coming to America themed shindig.

Loaf entered the party proceeded by women throwing flower pedals at her feet, ala the movie. She was adorned in an extravagant gold dress and a bejeweled head piece. Those in attendance included Cee-Lo, Young Thug and Toya Wright. Loaf performed some of her recent tracks during the event and later thanked the crowd for sharing the monumental moment with her.

"I appreciate everyone in the building, I mean that from the bottom of my heart," she said. "I turned 25 today...I invited kings and queens only. I think I did so we don't want none of that bullshit happening tonight right? We gone have fun."

Not only was it a birthday party, but it was also somewhat of a mixtape release event the Detroit MC who put out her most recent mixtape All Jokes Aside a few days ago. The new project features 11 tracks with a lone guest appearance by Silkk The Shocker. Production is handled by Sonny Digital, Izze The Producer, DDS, KLVN, iRockSays, Carrington Brown and Kharri.

It features her showing off a softer side, a departure from how she came in the game with the gangsta track "Try Me." “There comes a time in a girl’s life where she becomes a young woman,” Loaf said of the project. “It’s called growth, it’s called maturity, it’s called living life to the full potential and being true to who you are."
