Could Kid Cudi be the person who brings Andre 3000 out of his decade-long hiatus from putting out new music? The two artists have reportedly been in the studio working on some tracks.

Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker broke the news during an interview with Billboard. According to him, he recently ran into the OutKast MC at Coachella who relayed that he and Cudder had been in the lab together a few months ago, and he was back in Cali to hear the finished product.

Now the only question is, whose project is the music for? Cudi recently revealed he is working on a new album, which will be the follow up to his 2015 project Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven.

Andre seems like he's been feeling the itch for a while now. Earlier this year, he admitted he was eager to put out new music. “I still get time to think about music,” Andre said. “[Shooting TV and film projects] is not so bad — it kind of puts you in the place where you’re fiending to do music. I’ve been holding [back] for a long time, so now I’m really interested in figuring out some type of music to do. I’m always recording.”

Stacks specifically named Cudi as someone who is inspiring musically. “I always listen to a lot of jazz, a lot of Thelonius Monk,” Andre said. “The new Kid Cudi album [Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven] is awesome to me. That’s kind of like the most recent thing that I think is really great. But other than that I’ve kind of just been working in the studio and listening to what I’m doing.”

Please Black Jesus, make this happen.
