T-Pain's new album, Stoicville: The Phoenix, is long overdue. but it appears the rapper-ternt-sanga is taking his time for a reason. The Tallahassee, Fla. native is putting the finishing touches on the project and recently locked in the studio with Metro Boomin, Missy Elliott and DeJ Loaf.

Pain revealed the collaborations via social media. Taking to Twitter early this morning (March 13), he posted, "Just got out the studio with Metro, Missy and Dej. Shit bout to go down fr."

He later posted a photo from the session on Instagram that features himself, Young Metro and Misdemeanor posing side-by-side. No more details were released on the collab, but just off name power alone, whatever they are cooking up should jump back something serious.

Fans have been patiently waiting on Pain's new album, which will be his first since 2011's Revolver. The album was initially given a Dec. 11, 2015 release date, but was pushed back for unspecified reasons.

Pain has released a number of feeler tracks in order to gauge fanbase. Last June, he dropped the Juicy J-assisted strip club anthem "Make That Sh-t Work" which picked up traction in the clubs for a moment. That September, he followed up with the song "Roof on Fye."

In early February, he dropped the song "Do That Sh-t." On Valentine's Day, he put out the ballad "Officially Yours."

During the process of creating the album, Pain also got in the studio with Diddy, whom he revealed was not the most easy person to work with but brought the best out of him.

Stoicville: The Phoenix still has no release date.
