Krayzie Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony has revealed the reason he canceled portions of a tour in Canada, and it appears to be a more than worthy cause, as the rapper is battling sarcoidosis, an autoimmune disease that attacks the lungs and lymph nodes of the chest.

TMZ is reporting that Krayzie believes he suffered an "intense case of pneumonia" during his travels up north due to a weakened immune system cause by his sarcoidosis medication. The same condition led to comedian and actor Bernie Mac's death in 2008.

In a tweet published on Thursday (Mar. 10), Krayzie apologized for the cancellations, writing, "Canada thank you for your support sorry I had to cut it short due to sickness but I will be back to make those dates up soon! Much love." Krayzie is expected to reschedule the shows after receiving treatment in Los Angeles.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are set to perform four consecutive shows late next week in Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee and Missouri, and while there is no word yet if Krayzie will be available, it wouldn't be at all surprising if he sat the dates out. In 2015, Krayzie released the solo album Chasing the Devil ten years after his previous solo effort Gemini: Good vs. Evil. Well wishes are extended out to Krayzie as he works on improving his health and getting back out on the road. Read his aforementioned tweet below.
