Fat Trel found himself in trouble this weekend after he somehow got his hands on counterfeit money. TMZ reports that the Washington, D.C. rapper was arrested on Sunday morning (March 27) after using counterfeit bills at a Maryland casino.

The Maybach Music Group artist was caught handing nine fake $50 dollar bills to the pit boss at the casino according to a police report. Cops said that matching serial numbers on eight of the nine bills made it easy to spot the fakes.

Fat Trel said that he's innocent as he got the $50 dollar bills from an ATM. The Gleesh rapper claimed that the money came from a 7-Eleven ATM in the D.C. area. That reasoning was not good enough for the cops as Trel was arrested for possession of counterfeit currency.

It sure seems like the Maybach Music Group roster cannot avoid problems with the law at the moment. Fat Trel's boss Rick Ross and label mate Meek Mil are in the midst of their own legal troubles too.

Meek Mill is currently on house arrest as he serves a three month sentence for a probation violation. The Philadelphia rapper has been unable to record any new music during his house arrest, though his legal team is fighting to change that.

As for Rick Ross, the MMG head honcho was indicted earlier this month for allegedly pistol-whipping a groundskeeper last summer. Rozay faces charges of kidnapping, aggravated battery, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm while committing a crime.
