Desiigner has gone from complete unknown to breakthrough artist off the success of one track. The Brooklyn native's "Panda" blew up quickly and ended up earning him a deal with G.O.O.D. Music. Everybody's wondering what's next and the Kanye West signee might have answered that question. Desiigner debuted a new song called "Pluto" today (March 16) at the South By Southwest Festival.

Two brief clips have hit the web presenting the hook of "Pluto." It's not much of a preview, but one video shows the crowd getting pretty hyped to the song. Perhaps "Pluto" will be the record that proves Desiigner is no one-hit wonder. What it won't do is help him escape the Future comparison, especially when Future's got an entire album titled Pluto in his discography. Desiigner recently addressed the criticisms that he sounds exactly like Future in an interview with XXL.

"I smile at that, I blush at that, but I have no hard feelings for the dude Future," Desiigner said. "He does his thing. Actually, I like some of his songs. I think he’s a great artist and I ain’t going to ever turn him down. Just know I have plenty of more music. That’s all I got to say for the people who say I sound like him. Keep tuning in."

Despite the unavoidable comparisons to Future, Desiigner has aspirations to be a unique artist in hip-hop.

"I want to be the next person to change," he said. "I want to be the next nobody honestly. I rather have my own category. If you’re going to put me next to somebody you can say I’m similar but don’t put me next to them ’cause I really want my own lane. I respect everybody but everybody wants his or her own lane. They can set their own stamp."

Time will tell if the 18-year-old rapper can live up to that goal.
