At this point, it seems like Kanye West is just messing with us. After promising that his new album, The Life of Pablo, would drop late Friday, yesterday came and went without his highly anticipated seventh LP becoming available to the masses. So what gives? Early this morning, West revealed that Chance The Rapper is the reason we are still waiting to get the project.

After apparently being hounded about the whereabouts of the project by fans, Yeezus took to Twitter and cleared the air. "It’s Chance's fault the album not out yet… he really wanted "Waves" on that Bitch… we in the lab now," West wrote.

A short time later, Chance tweeted his rationale for holding up the LP. "I fought everyone to keep 'Waves' on the album. I spent all night finishing it. The world is better because of it," the Chicago native tweeted.

Waves was of course the third working title for the album and was the name of a song on the LP. However, the song was not on the latest tracklist West revealed yesterday. It looks like after seeing the new list of titles, Chance might have hit West up and pleaded his case to get the song back into the selection.

This delay slightly throws off the timing of the epic roll out Yeezy had at Madison Square Garden on Thursday (Feb. 11) where he debuted the album and also his Yeezy Season 3 fashion line.

Now we wait.
