Last April, Frank Ocean posted a picture to his Tumblr page and announced that a new album and self-published magazine would drop in July 2015. Nearly a year after the news sent the Internet into a frenzy, we have no album and no magazine. Despite the disappointment, hope for new Ocean music is alive after a snippet from a studio session leaked online earlier today via an unknown source. The short clips leave much to be desired, but at this point we'll take what we can get from Frank. Listen to some audio above as well as additional snippets below.

Fuse reports that Frank Ocean may have had a secret listening session at some point this past weekend after a photographer uploaded and then quickly deleted some lo-fi rips of what sound like new Frank Ocean tunes.

It's coming up on four years since the release of the singer's critically-acclaimed channel ORANGE and outside of guest appearances on albums like Watch the Throne and, more recently, plus a few leaked tracks, there has been little news on the Frank Ocean front.

It's not even fans who are waiting with bated breath for new music. Ocean's peers are just as anxious to hear what the talented artist has in store. Adele, who is arguably music's biggest star right now, told Rolling Stone that she is, “Just fucking waiting for Frank fucking Ocean to come out with his album. It's taking so fucking long." The superstar then laughed at herself and noted that it took her four years to drop the followup to her 21 album.

There's something to be said for Frank's long wait between projects. While other artists pump out song after song and project after project, the West Coast stays low and doesn't exhaust himself creatively, or oversaturate the market with music.

Who are we to rush greatness?
