Dreamchasers artist Chino was shot during a drive-by Friday morning (Feb. 19) in his hometown of Baltimore, MD, but is expected to recover from his injuries.

Chino, born, Pachino Braxton, was sitting in a vehicle in the Northwest side of the city around 10:45 a.m. when another vehicle pulled up beside him and the occupants began shooting at his whip, reports the Baltimore Sun. The 20-year-old entertainer was able to flee the scene on foot and make his way to safety. There have been reports that he was struck in the head by one of the bullets but that can not be confirmed at this point.

Chino is well known for his illegal dirt bike riding exploits as he and Meek Mill clearly linked up over their shared love for popping wheelies. The DMV native later transitioned into motocross and signed with Mill's label as well as an endorsement deal with Monster Energy. According to Chino's Instagram page he was the first person signed to the Philly rapper's Dreamchasers imprint. He was also featured on Meek's Bike Life phone app.

Meek or his team have yet to release a public statement on the matter but he reportedly confirmed with Karen Civil that his homeboy will be okay. As of press time no possible motive has been revealed for the shooting and no suspects have been revealed to the public or captured by police. Stay tuned for updates on the situation.
