Though J. Cole has been more closely associated with another A-list star -- Kendrick Lamar, the Compton rapper with whom he has long been rumored to be recording a collaborative album -- rumors are now swirling that he'll join Drake on a blockbuster tour later this year.

Earlier today (Feb. 1) during Ebro in the Morning on Hot 97 in New York, longtime host Ebro suggested that the pair could be hitting the road, though he provided little in the way of concrete details. He says that there could be an announcement of the summer swing later this week, which would align with the usual rollout for the OVO Fest lineup. Listen to Ebro's morning segment in its entirety below.

XXL has reached out to both Drake and J. Cole's camp for comment, but at press time had yet to hear back.

Cole recently released a live album that chronicles his homecoming concert in North Carolina, the same show that was documented in his HBO special. His last album, 2014 Forest Hills Drive, continues to enjoy heavy radio play on each coast, and his label compilation from December, Revenge of the Dreamers II, aimed to break new artists from his Interscope imprint.

Over the weekend, Drake dropped a single, "Summer Sixteen," and announced that his highly anticipated fourth album, Views From the 6, is due in April. He previously brought Cole on his Club Paradise tour in 2012, when Drake was promoting his sophomore set, Take Care.
